SESSION'S TOPIC

What is CHILD-LIKE FAITH?

Infants require parents’ care to survive; in addition to basic necessities, they need physical touch, nurturing and love as well. Children learn to be dependent on their parents and have complete faith that they will be taken care of.
Jesus tells us to have this same child-like faith. Jesus says in Matthew 18: “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” These are sobering and convicting words!
In this “Stories to Grow” session, Jeff will share how God has challenged him to have a child-like faith.  Following God’s call has led him to lay down his “mature” desire for independence and self-sufficiency.  God has taught him to be humble and trust HIM instead.

Jeff Goh, from Toronto, Canada, has lived in Xiamen for just under a year with his wife Anna and their three children. He is presently the principal of JTA. In addition to teaching on home soil, he has taught in Hong Kong, Florida, and now Xiamen. He comes from a family of pastors; his father and 2 brothers are preachers. His father-in-law and brother-in-law are as well. He had always felt like the odd man out in choosing to impact the Kingdom through education.
